ypetrov Hello Ivy team. I have a question on how to migrate Axon Ivy v8 MariaDB 10.4 to version 10.11 in Axon Ivy v12 Engine Cokpit. I get as far as in the picture, and the message persists. What do I need to do to convert the database?
Alexander Suter ypetrov Thanks for asking. The migration process has been heavily improved in Axon Ivy LTS 12. It is no longer possible to only run the system database migration. Every engine migration has to pass the Engine Migration Wizard.
ypetrov Alexander Suter Tkank you for the insight . I was wondering if this process will mutate my old database and engine, also projects somehow? Shall I back them up fist?
Alexander Suter ypetrov You may have a look in the documentation chapter. The migration wizard is responsible to migrate everything what is needed to let the Axon Ivy Engine run with the new version. The database migration is only one part of it. Already installed projects won't be migrated with the migration wizard (since LTS 12). After migration all projects are disabled by default. You can decide if you directly want to re-deploy them, because you may have to modify them anyway or migrate them on the Axon Ivy Engine directly. This is possible in the application overview in the Engine Cockpit. Before migrating a productive installation it's always recommended to backup the system where your Axon Ivy Engine is running on and the system database.
