Performance Testing

I am attempting to observe the performance of simultaneous connections from multiple clients using JMeter.
As I have not yet successfully implemented login functionality within JMeter, I am considering whether to proceed as is or adopt an alternative approach.
Are there any recommended measurement methods besides JMeter? What tools do you all use?

Currently we're adapting to use a tool called: JMeter DSL for our JMeter.

For reference: I put a sample on a branch of Portal repo: https://github.com/axonivy-market/portal/tree/feature/IVYPORTAL-19239-Implement-and-Roll-out-Load-Testing-in-Portal/AxonIvyPortal/jmeter-javadsl-test - you can use it combine with the documentation from JMeter DSL to have a better understanding (the code won't work out of the box, I put there just for your reference).
