Use Case
As a Developer, I want to have a multi-stage escalation pattern, so that I can provide more escalation stages for the same task if it is escalated.
Solution
- Escalation Time can be set in the Priority/Expiry settings of the task element
- You can also use Business Calendar in order to support working days
- Use Nobody and Delete this task option if the task is expired
- Use Escalation Counter as persistent Process Data and increment it to calculate the right stage
In the different stages of escalation, you can also send emails to different receivers. This depends on your specific business requirements.
This pattern is not suitable if you want to inform the user in advance about the escalation.
