Get BusinessCaseData when the BusinessCase has ended

We have a customer with IVY 7.3
How can you access the BusinessCaseData when the process has already ended and is no longer in ElasticSearch.
The data is still available in the IWA files. But I can't find a query option like TaskQuery.

Joe The data of the business case is stored in the system database IWA_BusinessData. There is a background process which is putting the data out of IWA_BusinessData to Elasticsearch. The index in Elasticsearch and the data out of IWA_BusinessData are in sync. You can not use TaskQuery to query the business data. You need ivy.repo.

This should not be true. We never delete data - even if the business case has ended.

The data is still available in the IWA files.

I guess you meant IWA_BusinessData.

Alexander Suter thanks for the reply. If the data is also available in ElasticSearch for closed CaseMaps (unfortunately this is not visible in the IVY Help), I have to determine the BusinessDataID from IVA_BusinessCaseData via BusinessCalseID. I need this ivy.repo.find(.
How do I get there without a query or is there a way to determine the fields within the BusinssData (amaId or businssCaseId) with ivy.repo.find(?

Joe I'm not sure which Ivy Help you mean? So you have the BusinessCase then you can use this API here:ch.ivyteam.ivy.business.data.store.BusinessDataRepository.find(IBusinessCase, Class<T>) e.g. ivy.repo.find(businessCase, MyData.class). This won't go through the Elasticsearch index, it will directly read the data out of IWA_BusinessData.

Alexander Suter Sorry, I may have expressed myself wrong. I only saved the businessCaseID in my application data. I am not inside a task call. So I don't have a business case to access it.

Joe Use ICase#getBusinessCase() e.g.ivy.wf.findCase(businessCaseId).getBusinessCase(). But you are using Axon Ivy 7.3. The API ivy.repo.find(businessCase, MyData.class) is missing. 7.3 is out of support. Can you upgrade to 8.0 LTS?

Attention: This is not public API. You should upgrade to 8.0 and use the provided API.

Hi Alexander, it's now our turn to switch from 7.3 to IVY 10 via 8. As you have noticed, from 8 onwards this solution no longer works. I'm now trying to figure out how to get the information. Do you have a code hint for the current API that I should use? Greetings Joachim

That's correct. But I don't have an ICase object. I only have the business case ID which is stored in the process data. I already found the API definitions in the documentation. But no way how I can determine the ICase object.

The same API also exists for the business data id. So e.g. if you save business data via ivy.repo you can read the ID from the result and find this business case again with find(String id, MyData.class). https://developer.axonivy.com/doc/8.0/public-api/ch/ivyteam/ivy/business/data/store/BusinessDataRepository.html#find(java.lang.String,java.lang.Class)
