Can we set a task to paused?

The scenario is the following: Inside task A, there can be task B created but this is optional. Task A can also be finisied. If Task B is created, then Task A should then be paused until Task B is finished. Is this possible?

There are multiple ways to achieve this with Axon Ivy.

If you start a new Process a (Business)Case will be created, to describe an actual runtime of this process. Also a first task will be created ... as soon as you hit a UserTask or something the like, the second task in the same Case is created.

Now you can involve optional Processes and their Tasks in your main Process, via a Trigger or Signal.
by checking the option "attach to bussiness case", you can define whether these Cases and Tasks should contribute to the calling Process ... and therefore extend the runtime of the overall BusinessCase.
